Duties/functions of Community Welfare Attache are as under:-

promotion of overseas employment.

. welfare of the emigrants.

. safeguarding the interest of emigrants in the host country including settling of the disputes and negotiations with their employers.

. attend all complaints of the emigrants and find adequate remedy thereof or report to the Director General.

. send periodical reports as may be required by the Director General on all aspects of his activities, including labour market trends and cost of living.
