BENEFITS FOR EMIGRANTS
- On the payment of insurance premium amounting to Rs. 650/= an individual migrant worker is insured for a period of two years against the compensation amount of Rs. 300,000. During his service, if he dies, the compensation amounting to Rs. 300,000 is paid to his family/legal heirs. In case of injury or disability as declared, he will be entitled to proportionate compensation.
- After payment of welfare fund, he becomes the member of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation. Under the membership, he is entitled to the following benefits.
- Educational facilities for his children.
- School/college admission facilities are provided.
- Staff posted at Overseas Pakistanis Foundation’s counters at International Airports helps in providing legal and other necessary guidance and information.
- Migrant worker is entitled the benefits of facilities from of residential accommodation schems arranged by Overseas Pakistanis Foundation.
- Investment can be made in the industrial sector, through Overseas Pakistanis Foundation.
- Overseas Pakistanis Foundation also gives financial help in case of accident/mishap.
BENEFITS FOR OEP
Under the Emigration laws, an emigrant proceeding abroad for employment through licensed Overseas Employment Promoter is required to deposit a sum of Rs. 4450/- as service charges credited to the Overseas Employment Promoter. After 72 hours of departure of the emigrant, OEP submits the certificate to Protector of Emigrants Office with the request to release the said amount.
BENEFITS FOR FOREIGN EMPLOYER
- Selection is made according to the choice of employer.
- It is ensured that bonafide worker is proceeding to country of employment on genuine documents.
- Selected workers are properly registered by all Protector of Emigrants offices and data of all migrant workers is maintained as such, the same is available.
- Encourages legal emigration and discourages illegal emigration.
- Complete record of all emigrants is available in Bureau/P.E.Offices for verification/security.
